Social Impact Manager

As a Social Impact Manager, I led with strategy and vision to ensure that projects drove meaningful change. At Motivate Canada, I managed task schedules, budgets, and logistics to guarantee smooth execution of community initiatives. I designed recruitment systems, contributed to HR practices, and coordinated volunteer teams to deliver program outcomes. Beyond operations, I focused on building relationships with stakeholders and ensuring that every initiative reflected the organization’s mission of empowering youth through sport and leadership. This role sharpened my ability to connect big-picture goals with day-to-day execution, blending operational precision with human-centered leadership. It reinforced my belief that social impact work requires both strategic planning and genuine empathy.

Program Coordinator

As a Program Coordinator, I took on the responsibility of ensuring that programs were not only well-organized but also deeply aligned with community needs. My role involved managing schedules, budgets, and logistics while keeping participants at the center of every decision. I developed systems that improved workflow efficiency, coordinated volunteer teams, and ensured deliverables were met with precision. This meant supporting youth-focused initiatives by streamlining operations, preparing reports, and facilitating communication between project managers and community partners. The experience taught me how to balance structure with flexibility, ensuring that programs remained both impactful and sustainable.

Youth Facilitator

As a Youth Facilitator, I created safe, engaging spaces where young people could explore leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. I guided workshops, led activities, and encouraged youth to see themselves as changemakers in their communities. I worked directly with youth through the ACTIVATE! program, empowering them to use sport and leadership as tools for social impact. I learned how to adapt facilitation styles to different groups, foster inclusivity, and inspire confidence in young leaders. This role allowed me to combine creativity with mentorship, helping youth discover their potential while building skills that extend far beyond the program.
